You've Got To See With Your Heart And Not Your Eyes

(Deborah Taylor)

You've got to see with your heart
and not your eyes
You've got to get to know the person
that's inside
You know we all wear a mask
We all have our disguise
So you've got to see with your heart
and not your eyes

The man that you just passed
is shabby and unclean
But the Lord has a plan for him
that is still yet unseen
And like Pandora's Box
we're all full of surprise
So you've got to see with your heart
and not your eyes

You've got to go beyond the physical
to see the soul within
You've got to love them where they are
Not judge where they have been
And then you'll see the beauty
that in each of us abides
When you learn to see with your heart
and not your eyes

When Jesus came inside to live
my house was such a mess
But He saw beyond my dirt and filth
to see my very best
He showed me how to clean my house
And where true love to find
He said I'll find it when I'm seeing
with my heart
and not my eyes
